Video: Building a Pipeline for Innovation

Brian Lombardo usually spends his days working on a national employer account for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans in Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. But for three months, he worked with health startups at MATTER, a Chicago-based health tech incubator, as a full-time fellow. Lombardo was the first in a rotation of fellows the insurer will send to MATTER to collaborate with the entrepreneurs and other industry partners, creating a two-way conduit for insight and innovation that may benefit employers, members and the health care industry as a whole.
